On March 24, NBC10 and Telemundo62 hosted the 17th annual Broadcast Pioneers Symposium. More than 80 college students from the Greater Philadelphia region gathered at the station in Bala Cynwyd for an informative panel about pursuing careers in broadcasting.
Emceed by WMGK-FM radio personality Leigh Richards, panellists included NBC10 weekend anchor/reporter Dray Clark, Telemundo62 assistant news director Ana Hernandez, NBC10 producer/editor Megan Robinette, NBC10 producer Jason Rothman, and Pat Delsi, former owner of WWSJ radio and current Broadcast Pioneers board chair.
Students from 15 local colleges and universities spent nearly 90 minutes asking questions of the panel who each shared their personal journeys and career advice in their respective fields.
Following the panel, students toured the station and enjoyed a lunch during which they were able to network with the panellists and one another.
