Firefighters got the upper hand early Thursday on a stubborn scrap yard fire in Bucks County, Pennsylvania that carried smoke into New Jersey.
The fire broke out at Sims Metal Management on steel Road South in Morrisville was placed under control early Thursday. It broke out around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters brought in tanker trucks for water and used heavy equipment to move the scrap to get access to the flames.
There were no reports of injuries.
The cause remained under investigation Thursday morning.
