Police are investigating after a man was killed by being stabbed in the neck before being struck by a car in South Philadelphia on Monday night.
According to police, the incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Front and Morris streets in Philadelphia's Pennsport neighborhood when officials received multiple calls after a man had been stabbed in the neck before being hit by a car.
Officers who arrived on the scene found a man who had a stab wound to the right side of his neck laying under the front engine compartment of a Kia sedan.
Medics pronounced the man at the scene at 7:47 p.m.

On Tuesday morning, law enforcement officials identified the victim as Mang Sang, 22.
Chief Police Inspector Scott Small said a witness told police that Sang was in an altercation with another man before Sang fell to the ground.
Small said that the suspected attacker then got into the Kia that was left at the scene and drove over Sang.

The suspected attacker then got out of the car and fled on foot, Small said.
Small said investigators found a four-inch blade at the scene of the attack and noted that numerous witnesses are cooperating with police.
However, Small said that police have not yet determined a motive for the attack, but an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
