Man sentenced for shooting boyfriend, burning his body in murder fueled by hate

Kylen Pratt was convicted and sentenced for shooting and killing 20-year-old Naasire Johnson, burning his body and hiding his remains in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park back in 2022. During a Monday morning press conference, Assistant District Attorney Cydney Pope said Pratt murdered Johnson because he didn’t want people to find out about their relationship. Johnson’s grandmother also spoke and said her grandson was murdered shortly before he was set to attend community college.
