Police have made an arrest in the hit-and-run incident that was caught on surveillance video in Lindenwold, New Jersey Saturday night. Edward J. Russell, 58 of Clayton, allegedly ran over a man and then fled the scene.
Police arrested Russell at 1 a.m. Monday on the charge of knowlingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with serious bodily injury.
The 57-year-old victim was crossing the street on the 100 block of South White Horse Pike around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
As he was walking, police say he was struck by a Ford F150 pickup truck that was passing by. The vehicle then continued westbound on the White Horse Pike.
Lindenwold Police released surveillance video of the incident and posted it on their Facebook page. Warning, footage is extremely graphic.

The victim was taken to Cooper Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
Russell was released from police custody with a summons.
