Man Uses Fake Bill to Buy Smokes, Sweets at Local Wawa: Police

A man used counterfeit bills at a Montgomery County Wawa last Wednesday, according to investigators. Police don’t believe it was the first time he’s done it.

A man is accused of using a counterfeit $100 bill to make purchases at a Wawa in Conshohocken.

Police are searching for the man they say recently used the fake bill to buy two candy bars and a pack of Newport 100s.

Surveillance video captured the suspect using the bills inside the store as well as in a light-colored sedan before leaving the parking lot.

Officials believe that the man has used counterfeit bills more than once.

Anyone who recognizes this man is urged to call Conshohocken Police.
