Pa. Man Threatens Landlord With Tire Iron, Knife: Police

A Montgomery County man is in custody after allegedly threatening his landlord with a knife and a tire iron.

The landlord reported on March 9 that Kane threatened him the day before after he told him that he was behind on his rent and breaking house rules, according to Lansdale Police.

The Reporter of Lansdale reports the landlord said Kane grabbed a knife and said he wasn't going to pay him and was going to kill him. Later, the landlord alleges he asked Kane for his key and Kane threatened him with a tire iron.

Authorities say Kane turned himself in Monday.

William Keith Kane, 23, was sent to Montgomery County Correctional Facility -- unable to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail -- after being arraigned on aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and other charges, according to court records.

It wasn't immediately clear if Kane had an attorney.
