Hearing Set for Pennsylvania Man Accused of Killing Police Chief's Nephew

A preliminary hearing is set for the man accused of fatally shooting the nephew of Harrisburg's police chief.

Police say 19-year-old Glenn Walker III shot 36-year-old John Carter III after an argument became physical on March 26.

Carter is the nephew of Chief Thomas Carter, who promised to crack down on violence in the state's capital following the shooting.

Wednesday's hearing will determine whether there's enough evidence for Walker to stand trial on charges of criminal homicide, carrying an unlicensed firearm and criminal mischief.

His public defender has not commented on the charges.

Walker was free on bail after three prior arrests when the shooting occurred.
