Two people exposed to an unknown substance has prompted a hazmat situation at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest campus.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the hospital around 12:15 p.m., county officials told NBC10.com. The 783 bed trauma center is located along Interstate 78 at S. Cedarcrest Blvd. in Allentown, Pa.
A hospital spokesperson said the two individuals arrived at the hospital's Emergency Department requesting treatment for exposure to an unknown substance. They are currently being helped at a decontamination area outside the emergency room.
Officials say the hospital and the emergency department remains open and is operating normally.
Salisbury Township Police are investigating the incident.
