Investigators are searching for two suspects who were caught on camera stealing a woman’s pocketbook inside a popular downtown Philadelphia restaurant.
The theft happened about 7:15 p.m. on July 28 at Jose Pistola’s on S. 15th Street in Rittenhouse Square.
Surveillance cameras were rolling as the suspects, working in tandem, stood behind the victim, who was seated at the bar.
While pretending to engage in a conversation, one of the suspects lifted the woman’s handbag from the rear of her chair. The suspects then walked out of the establishment.
A short time later, the female victim realized her credit card was being used to make purchases.
Anyone with information about the suspects is urged to contact police.
