Fire destroys church in Vineland, NJ

A fire burned through the Voice of Deliverance New Covenant Church in Vineland, New Jersey. Now authorities are trying to figure out how it started. NBC10’s Miguel Martinez-Valle has the latest.

A massive fire destroyed the Voice of Deliverance New Covenant Church in Vineland, New Jersey on Monday night.

On Tuesday, NBC10's Randy Gyllenhaal visited the site of the fire at the Voice of Deliverance New Covenant Church along the 1400 block of E. Chestnut Avenue, to assess the damage.

As seen following the night's fire, the roof is gone and the inside of the building was gutted.

A pastor at the church told NBC10 the congregation was still working to process the loss of structure on Tuesday morning.

Officials have said that no one was injured in this four alarm fire. NBC10 obtained viewer video showing massive flames rising from the church.

The fire occurred as severe storms moved throughout the region though officials have not yet revealed if it was weather-related.
