Teen Girl Killed, Male Driver Critically Hurt in Crash Following Stolen Car Pursuit in Cinnaminson

The car had been reported stolen earlier in the day, police said

Police say a teenager stole a car and then crashed into a FedEx truck in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, killing the passenger inside. NBC10’s Deanna Durante has the story.

A teenage girl is dead after the stolen car she was riding in crashed into the back of a tractor trailer during a police pursuit in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, police said.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday along U.S. 130 at Riverton Road when the silver BMW sedan slammed into the back of a FedEx trailer.

Cinnaminson officers had been pursuing the car and the 17-year-old male driver after the vehicle was reported stolen earlier Wednesday, police said.

Officers worked to pull the driver and passenger, identified by police as 15-year-old Kassidy Bush, from the car following the crash. Bush, a student at Palmyra High School, died at the scene, police said. The driver was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he's listed in critical condition, police said.

Police have yet to identify him. They could not say how the driver and passenger knew each other.

Both officers suffered minor injuries trying to remove the teens from the car. They're expected to be fine.

No charges have been filed at this point in the case, police said.
