The body found in a run-down South Philadelphia lot was officially identified Tuesday as Iris Tyson.
Tyson, 23, was reported missing on May 8 -- Mother’s Day -- around 6:15 p.m.
”She said she was going out to get a Mother’s Day card…We said, ‘We love you.’ That was the last time we seen our baby,” Joe Tyson, Iris’ father, told the Daily News.
She was last seen on the 2300 block of S American Street.
When Iris failed to return from the store, Joe and Iris’ mom Kelly filed a missing person’s report.
On Tuesday afternoon police confirmed that Tyson's body was found Sunday and they ruled the cause of death as homicide.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, cops said.

After nearly a week of searching, on Saturday police received a report of a body on a lot between Sydenham and Hicks Streets -- about two miles from the Tyson’s Ritner Street home.
Police finally found the body around 6:20 p.m. Sunday, according to cops. It wasn't clear why it took so many hours to track down her location.
Joe Tyson told the Daily News that he positively identified his daughter's body on Sunday.
