‘Degrees not debt': Labor unions join forces to cut debt for college students

Ten national labor unions came together in Philadelphia on Monday to share their collective demands to make public colleges affordable. Their reasoning behind the push comes as public funding for colleges has decreased as student debt continues to rise. Job insecurity for college staff is another reason fueling their demands.
