NBC10 First Alert: Snow to Arrive After Chilly Weather Sweeps into Region

We start this Friday morning with temperatures in the low 30’s, as we expect snow to roll through our area overnight. Plus, our 10 day on 10.

It's not yet officially winter, but it sure will feel like it for days to come, and we will see the first snow of the season.

The air outside will feel like the 20s across most of the region Friday morning.

Then comes the first flakes of the season over the weekend. The European forecast model shows snow showers beginning to move into the area, starting in southern Delaware and the Jersey Shore as early as Friday evening.

We'll most likely see a rain/snow mix late Friday night with light snow across Southern Delaware and South Jersey, and flurries or light snow showers possible in Philadelphia on Saturday.

We'll see temperatures climb back up to the 40s Monday and Tuesday. There is yet another chance snow showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. And another next weekend. We'll be watching that chance closely in the next days.
