A teen boy died from his injuries after he accidentally shot himself in the head in Norristown, according to police.
Police responded to the 600 block of George Street Saturday around 8:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When they arrived they found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The teen was taken to Jefferson Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Witnesses told police the teen was waving the gun around when he accidentally shot himself in the head. Police have not yet released the boy's identity.
