Two cars were speeding northbound on Interstate 95 around 8:12 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, when one of the vehicles, a 2006 Mazda, hit a barrier and fell off the road near Castor Avenue and Richmond Street, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Four men were inside the car -- all brothers from the same New Jersey family -- when the driver lost control, and they went over the edge and fell onto the road below I-95 in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, troopers said.

Aaron Davis, 23 of Cranbury, and Joshua Davis, 22 of East Windsor, both died at the scene, troopers said. Police initially said both men weren't wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.

Two 18-year-old brothers -- both also of East Windsor -- were hospitalized with serious injuries, investigators said.

A puppy riding in the rear passenger compartment of the vehicle was also ejected in the collision and was found dead, police said.

Police said witness interviews revealed that the Mazda driver was racing on the interstate with the driver of a Dodge Challenger before losing control and crashing.

Pennsylvania State Police continued investigating the incident through the weekend.
