Little Dominick Philip can use his library card until the end of the year, according to the Express-Times.
The 7-year-old boy had his card rescinded by the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity after a library employee discovered he lives in Tatamy, served by the Easton Area Public Library.
Dominick was devastated when he got the news he could no longer use the library.
“He was crying and saying he was never going to the library again…He just didn’t understand what he did wrong,” Melissa Philips, Dominick’s mom told the paper.
But, Lynn Snodgrass-Pilla, director of the library, told the paper he could visit the library through the end of 2009.
"We're completely OK with what's going on here," Snodgrass-Pilla said.
Apparently, Dominick’s mom, Melissa Philip, got the Nazareth card for her son by mistake. He should have been using the Easton library for a $5 annual subscription fee, the paper reported.
