Police found a body wrapped in a trash bag in Philadelphia during a search for a missing Delaware County woman, investigators told NBC10.

Haverford Township Police said they recently took a person into custody in connection to the disappearance of a 25-year-old Haverford Township woman who was reported missing in May. That person then told police the woman's body was located in an overgrown area near train tracks off the 5700 block of Musgrave Street in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, Philadelphia Police Shief Inspector Scott Small said.

“14th district police were notified by Haverford Township police that the remains of a human body were found in a vacant lot under a train trestle,” Small said.

Philadelphia police arrived at that location Tuesday around 6 p.m. and found the body of a woman in her mid-20's wrapped in a trash bag.

Police said the medical examiner has not yet identified the body or determined if the body is that of the missing woman. They also have not yet revealed a cause of death.

Police in Upper Darby, Delaware County, are also investigating as the woman may have been killed there.
