There has been a line in front of Ubiq shoe store for two days now for people waiting to be the first to get the limited edition Air Jordans that are going for $650.
The chilly temperatures are not stopping die-hard “sneakerheads” from camping out in Philadelphia to get their hands on a pair of $650 sneakers.
The limited-edition Air Jordan 2 Retro “Just Don” sneakers go on sale Saturday at 8 a.m.
The sneakers cost $650 for an adult pair and $350 for a kid’s pair.
One “sneakerhead” started his camp-out at 8 a.m. Friday outside the UBIQ store on Walnut Street in Philadelphia.
“I need these because they limited, very limited, only certain cities got them. I need ‘em,” Bigavel Mel, of Atlantic City, said.
One man came from Connecticut for the chance to own a pair.
“I wanna wear them. I wanna have them and potentially sell them in the future because they’ll be worth more if I try to sell them than retail. They’ll be worth probably double than the retail price,” Colin MacLennan said.
