Mayor Cherelle Parker and other city leaders unveiled the plan and route for the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl World Champions Parade on Friday, Feb. 14.

What to Know

  • The Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl victory parade is set for Friday, Feb. 14, 2025.
  • Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, Eagles President Don Smolenski and other officials are expected to reveal full parade details at an 11 a.m. news conference on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025.
  • The stage was already being set at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, with barriers going up and the art museum lit up in green.

The day may typically be associated with the color red, but this year, on Valentine's Day, the City of Philadelphia will likely be covered in Eagles green as far as the eye can see.

That's because after a dominating 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, the Birds are headed back to the City of Brotherly Love for a celebration parade on Broad Street and the Ben Franklin Parkway on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025.

Talk about having a day to celebrate the people you love.

On Monday, Philadelphia officials confirmed that the date for the parade for the Super Bowl champions would be Valentines' Day.

On social media, shortly after the game, the team also said the parade would likely be held Friday. The city confirmed the date later in the morning.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker joined city officials -- along with Philadelphia Eagles mascot Swoop -- to detail plans for the upcoming day.

But, before getting into the parade details, Parker had something to address.

Mayor Parker recalled the moment when she misspelled E-A-G-L-E-S during a recent celebration.

She called it “a sin,” that she quickly hoped to rectify.

“So, how do you spell Eagles to me? I spell it N-F-L C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N-S!” shouted Parker to a round of applause.

Just as 2018's celebration, it will begin at Broad Street and Pattison Avenue then head north up Broad Street before wrapping around City Hall.

The buses carrying the celebrating team would then head up Ben Franklin Parkway to end with speeches and celebrations on a stage set up at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

During the Tuesday event, Don Smolenski, president of the Philadelphia Eagles, discussed the team and what it will mean to bring a victory parade back to Broad Street and the Ben Franklin Parkway.

"It's going to be awesome and, to all of those who bleed green, on behalf of everyone at the Philadelphia Eagles, we just want to say thank you," said Smolenski. "You've been with us for generations. You've been with us all season. You took over opposing team's stadiums. You filled Lincoln Financial Field right up to the edge, you know 69,000-plus. And, you know of course, Philadelphia Eagles represented strong in New Orleans at the Superdome. It's awesome."

The parade is expected to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025. And, speeches at the Philadelphia Museum of Art are expected to begin around 2 p.m.

Also, on Tuesday morning, the city's court system announced that Philly courts would be closed Friday and all cases -- in person and virtual -- would be rescheduled. Anyone who had jury duty for Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 has been excused, as well.

Also, during the morning's event, officials said the School District of Philadelphia has closed schools for the day of the parade.
