Loved ones are mourning a 4-year-old boy who died after falling and being impaled by a piece of glass inside a North Philadelphia home.
The 4-year-old boy was with his mother and other family members inside a home on the 3200 block of North Reese Street at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday. The boy was on the second floor of the home when he fell onto a piece of glass and was impaled through his abdomen, police said. The boy’s uncle told Telemundo62 the glass was from a picture frame.
The boy was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:46 p.m.
Police are currently investigating the child's death. They also say the boy's family is cooperating with the investigation.
