8 Arrested After Fights Break Out as Allentown Concert Ends

Eight people were arrested, most for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Authorities say eight people were arrested following a concert in Allentown, including one man accused of hitting a police officer in the face.

Police said about 3,000 attended Saturday night's Spring Break Takeover concert, advertised as the Lehigh Valley's largest hip hop concert.

But as the concert in the PPL Center ended at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police said, a number of fights broke out outside the arena and some onlookers took part.

Eight people were arrested, most for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Police said one man was arrested after striking an officer in an apparent attempt to avoid arrest. There were no other reported injuries.
