
A school bus has overturned in Barnegat Township, New Jersey injuring five people on board. This happened on the Garden State Parkway where there is now a 2-mile delay.
Five people -- including three students -- were injured after a school bus overturned on the Garden State Parkway in Barnegat Township, New Jersey.
The school bus, which was from Brick Township, New Jersey, overturned in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near mile marker 69.1 on Tuesday. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department confirmed with NBC10 that five people suffered minor injuries in the crash.
On Wednesday, officials said the incident happened at about 3:09 p.m when a school bus and Lexus passenger vehicle collided while traveling southbound on the parkway.
The Lexus ran off the roadway and up an embankment and the school bus overturned in the left lane, police said.

The driver, a school aide and three students on board the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
No other injuries were reported and, officials said, the crash remains under investigation.
SkyForce10 was over the scene and showed lanes being closed off near the bus.
