1 dead, another injured in a double shooting in Northeast Philly, police say

A man is dead, and an elderly man was injured in a double shooting that took place in North Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 5:41 p.m., police said a shooting occurred along the 800 block of Foulkrod Street.

The deceased victim, an 18-year-old man - now Identified as Isidro Zuniga of Philadelphia - sustained multiple gunshots throughout his body.

The second victim, a 67-year-old man, was shot in the left arm. He was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition, according to the police.

Police say the 18-year-old was at the corner when a dark-colored Sedan pulled up and there were at least two shooters who exited the car and shot at the victim.

“He does appear to have been targeted and he was shot at close range," Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace said.

The bullet that hit the older victim appears to have bounced off a wall when it then hit him, police said.

“That male we do not believe was not in any way targeted. He just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time," Pace said.

No arrests have been made at this time. 

Police said there are a number of cameras in the area, and they are working to get video as the incident is being investigated.
