A teenager was killed while three other people were hurt after a stolen car crashed into an SUV in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, according to police.
The crash occurred around 4:50 a.m. Monday along Stenton and Evergreen avenues in the Wyndmoor section of Springfield Township.

Police said three people were inside a red 2020 Hyundai Elantra that had been stolen in Philadelphia back on July 27, 2024. The Elantra was traveling from the Philadelphia side along the county line and entered the intersection on Stenton and Evergreen where it crashed into a white 2014 Infiniti QX80 that was traveling northbound and had the green light, according to police. Both vehicles flipped on impact.
"We're sleeping and we just heard the crash," Mike Dolen, a resident who lives near the crash scene, told NBC10. "It sounded like you heard a voice screaming."
A 15-year-old inside the Hyundai was ejected from the vehicle and later died from his injuries, police said. Two other people were trapped inside the car and were extricated by responding firefighters and medics, according to officials.

The two survivors who were inside the stolen Hyundai were taken to the hospital along with the driver of the Infinity, officials said. A source told NBC10 a male passenger inside the Hyundai was in critical condition while the driver of the Infiniti is stable. Officials have not revealed the condition of the other passenger who was inside the Hyundai.
"It was horrible. All I got to say," Gwen Jones, who witnessed the crash from her balcony, told NBC10. "Horrible."
Residents in the area told NBC10 speeding has often been an issue near the intersection.
"It's a bad area of Stenton Avenue because it's four lanes here and cars come screaming down here at 50, 60 miles an hour through this intersection and down the hill towards Bethlehem Pike through the lights often times," Dolen said.
Stenton Avenue and Evergreen Avenue were closed at the scene of the crash.
