Delaware River Festival Returns to Philly and Camden on Sept 28. The 2024 Delaware River Festival offers a variety of activities on both sides of the river at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia and Wiggins Park in Camden. Visitors can explore exhibits, enjoy live bird shows, take free pedal boat rides, and access the Independence Seaport Museum. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or carpool.

Exelon’s Climate Change Investment Initiative Seeks Climate-Focused Startups. The Exelon Foundation is seeking startups focused on sustainability for their Climate Change Investment Initiative (2c2i). The initiative offers up to $300,000 in equity investment and in-kind support and is open to companies working in Exelon’s key markets. Applications are open until Sept 30th.
SustainPHL returns for its 7th annual awards ceremony on October 10, 2024, celebrating sustainability leaders across the Philadelphia region. SEPTA is making it easier to take public transit! Starting September 8th, the regional rail service will increase service to over 80% of pre-pandemic levels, adding 99 weekend trains and 24 weekday trains to the schedule.
Nearly one-third of Montgomery County's communities have committed to a clean energy future. Lower Providence Township became the 19th municipality to pledge a transition to 100% renewable energy for electricity by 2035 and by 2050 for all sectors. This effort, part of the Ready for 100 initiative, aims to reduce emissions and modernize infrastructure, supported by recent federal incentives for clean energy investments.

City of Philadelphia Secures $300,000 for EV chargers
The City of Philadelphia will receive funding for the installation of two dual-port DC Fast chargers for use by the City’s Department of Fleet Services and City staff, as part of the $2.3 million awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to 27 projects statewide through the Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant (AFIG) program. The funding supports the transition to zero- or low-emission vehicles, aiming to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Pennsylvania.
Indego Bikeshare Reintroduces Single Ride Pass for $4.50, starting today
The City of Philadelphia and Bicycle Transit Systems have announced the pass option, costing $4.50 for 30 minutes on a classic bike and $4.50 for every 30 minutes after that.
