Murphy: Nursing Homes Are the Chink in Our Armor in Coronavirus Battle
In a one-on-one interview on Thursday with NBC10’s Erin Coleman, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy discussed the Garden State’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Murphy answered questions on a number of topics including how the virus has decimated nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Murphy described these facilities, which have seen many coronavirus-connected deaths, as weak points in the state’s armor in fighting the virus. He also described how the summer may look at the Jersey Shore and how restaurants may be forced to take precautions like temperature checks and limiting the number of patrons.
