"On Valentine's Day in 2006 there was a snow storm when I woke up and I had to drive to Chester to work at a different office for my company. I parked my car in the building lot, but had to park on an unplowed section because are the plowed ones were taken. I got out of my car and started to walk. I walked maybe 10 feet before I slipped, fell and hit my head. I don’t know how long I was out for but when I came to, I was laying on my back with a throbbing headache. I slowly walked to my office. When I finally sat down, things were blurry and I didn’t feel well. I made a report with my corporate office and decided to drive home.
It took me about an hour to get home (double the usual time) because of my head injury. When my boyfriend came home from work he took me to the hospital. We spent several hours there before I was finally released with a concussion and told to see my regular doctor.
The next day my boyfriend wanted to do something nice and sweet for me since I ruined the previous day's plans. We drove to the Oxford Valley Mall and I told him I couldn't walk far so we just went to build a bear. We ended up at the food court and had McDonald's and Taco Bell for Valentine’s Day dinner.
Those few hours at the mall were exhausting for me and when we got home I went straight to bed (it was around 7:30 p.m.). My poor boyfriend stayed up watching TV and waiting on me hand and foot."
