Holy Smoke!

New joint in Roxborough hits all the right notes

In the spirit of getting the most out of something, the folks at two-week-old barbeque joint Holy Smoke have put together a menu that ensures they use their state-of-the-art smoking system and real wood-burning oven to the fullest. What does that mean for you? The biggest and broadest choice of comfort food this city has ever seen.

The enormous menu covers the entire southern half of the U.S., and then some. There's award-winning barbeque galore – ribs, fowl and brisket – including family-style packages for large parties. There are also plenty of Cajun faves (gumbo, po' boys and jambalaya), fried chicken (and waffles too!), conch fritters and even thin-crust, brick oven pizzas.

If you end up staying a while (because you just can't stop ordering food), Holy Smoke also hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights. And Tuesdays are "Big BBQ Buffet" night (all-you-can-eat bbq buffet for $14.95). Life is good.
