Some retailers are charging consumers up to $3 in fees to get cashback during transactions

Many retailers offer the cashback option when checking out, especially in areas that don’t have banks. However, some retailers are charging a fee for consumers to get cashback, amounting to an estimated $90 million a year for the top three, according to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
