65 years after its release, Brenda Lee's ‘Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree' hits No. 1

“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee has finally ascended, for the very first time, to the number one spot on Billboard magazine’s Hot 100 songs chart. And Lee – who turns 79 next week – will perform the holiday staple Thursday night on NBC’s holiday special.
