NBC10 and Telemundo 62 are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by sharing the stories of Hispanic and Latin Americans making an impact and difference in our communities. NBC10’s Miguel Marinez-Valle and Telemundo 62’s Belen Smole gives us a look at cities, businesses and nonprofit organizations in our area helping Hispanic people and culture grow.

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, NBC10 is highlighting stories about Latinos who are making an impact around our region as well as the importance of Hispanic culture.

Over the years there has been confusion over how Hispanics and Latinos identify themselves in the U.S. While some use race, others use country of origin.
