Michelle Rotella is a meteorologist for NBC10. You can watch Michelle’s live forecasts weekday evenings at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 11pm.
Michelle joined NBC10 in July 2022. She has over 14 years of experience tracking and reporting the weather. Her favorite part of being a meteorologist is being able to educate, communicate and connect with the community. Her goal is for the viewers to always walk away knowing what their day will be like while learning a little something.
“I am from the Northeast, and I love the fact that we get to experience all four seasons and a wide variety of weather here,” she said. “This will be my first opportunity to forecast exclusively for the Greater Philadelphia region and I'm looking forward to making it my home and planting roots in the area.”
Michelle came to Philadelphia from State College, PA, where she was a Senior Broadcast Meteorologist at AccuWeather. Prior to that, she was a Meteorologist at FOX5 in Washington, D.C. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology with a minor in Math and Physics from Florida State University, Tallahassee.
When Michelle is not forecasting the weather, she enjoys traveling with her husband. Being from Maryland, she loves seafood—blue crabs are her favorite food! She also enjoys concerts, golfing, fishing, and spending time with her cat Nahlah and dog Bailey.
Michelle and her husband Michael are very excited to welcome their first child, a baby girl, into their family this Spring!
