Lauren loves reporting and living in the Philadelphia region.
“This region has special meaning to me and to my family,” said Mayk. “I was born here, while my father was working at WCAU as a reporter! I returned after college to work at the Philadelphia Inquirer, and was thrilled to return again to join the NBC10 team.”
Prior to joining NBC10, Lauren graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Political Science. During her time as an undergraduate, she served as the Editor In Chief for The Michigan Daily. She then went on to work for the Philadelphia Inquirer as a South Jersey correspondent. She then worked as a business reporter at The Sarasota Herald-Tribune. After spending time working on the newspaper side, Lauren then worked as a television news anchor (morning, then evening) for cable station SNN in Sarasota, Florida, before moving to Tampa to work at WFLA where she covered politics as well as consumer issues and investigative stories.
