Brian Mendoza

Brian Mendoza is a Weather Anchor for Telemundo62 and NBC10. You can watch his live forecasts and reports weekday mornings and evenings.

Brian joined Telemundo62 in May 2017 as a news reporter and filled-in as Weather and News Anchor for four years. During that tenure, Brian became a seven-time Emmy Award winning journalist from the Mid-Atlantic region for his work with the Telemundo62 team.

In December 2021, Brian was promoted to Weather and News Anchor, growing his commitment to connect and give back to our Greater Philadelphia community.

The most memorable stories that Brian has covered during his time as a journalist has been Hurricane Harvey in Texas, Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the immigration crisis in McAllen, Texas at the Mexican border during 2014. The vulnerability and raw emotions of families, especially children, had a huge impact on him.

Born in Naranjal, Ecuador, Brian immigrated to the United States with his family when he was eight years old. Prior to joining Telemundo62, he worked as a multi-media journalist and fill-in anchor at Spanish-language station WUNI in Boston. Prior to this, Brian worked as an anchor and producer at Telemundo affiliate station in Abilene, Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Houston.

Brian is most excited about the rich history that is embedded in the Greater Philadelphia area and getting to know the people in the community. When he is not on the news, he enjoys Salsa dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He resides in Philadelphia.
