Tony Luke Jr. Wants His Cutout Back

Cheesesteak icon offers free sandwiches for a month to anyone who returns the cardboard likeness

A Philly food icon is asking to get his likeness back.

Tony Luke, Jr. is asking for the three guys he says took a cutout of him from the South Philly cheesesteak shop to return the life-sized image.

Luke, Jr. posted a wanted poster to his Facebook page in hopes that either the three guys shown -- all shown wearing button-down shirts in surveillance images -- or someone that knows them will return the cutout.

The cutout was taken a little after midnight on July 9 from the Oregon Avenue landmark.

Luke tells NBC10 he isn’t interested in pressing charges and that no questions will be asked -- he just wants his cutout back since it has sentimental value.

"It was the first cutout that we made... a lot of kids took pictures with it," he said.

And, he tells NBC10 that he will even give free cheesesteaks for a month -- one a day for 30 days -- to whoever cracks this case.

Anyone with details on the alleged theft should e-mail info@tonylukes.com.
