One of the most beautiful tennis players loves Philly fans and she's not even from the area.
The Russian beauty, Anna Kournikova, enjoys being around Philly fans, and likes our passion and knowledge of tennis, she said in a conference call, accroding to Philly.com.
"I think Philadelphia also has an amazing tennis community due to the tournament [Advanta] that had been going on there for years," said Kournikova. "It was always one of the strongest fields," she said.
The beautiful Kournikova will come back to town in -- well, King of Prussia (that's close enough) -- on July 6 when the St. Louis Aces take on the Philadelphia Freedoms in a season-opening World TeamTennis match at 7:30 p.m.
The match will be held in a Freedoms' makeshift arena in the mall parking lot.
The tennis player has fond memories of the City of Brotherly Love. She played in the Advanta Championship winning the doubles title with Martina Hingis back in 2000.
Before the match, Kournikova will meet-and-greet her fans at Morton's Steakhouse at the King of Prussia Mall, the Inky reported.

"It's really nice for me to go and say hi and take pictures with the fans," said Kournikova. "And a lot of times it's mostly kids... So, yeah, it's definitely fun," she said.
For $100, you can enjoy a drink, snacks and a reserved ticket for the match and (the big draw) get to meet the Russian beauty.
And, if you just want to see great tennis action Andre Agassi, Serena Williams, John McEnroe and others are scheduled to take the court.
