Stop us if you've heard this one before... the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52. Remember that one? Of course you do.
All of Philadelphia sure does. And you know who else remembers it? Future Hall of Famer and quarterback of the Patriots, Tom Brady.
Brady was a guest on WEEI on Monday on the "The Greg Hill Show" and spoke about the sting of that loss to the Birds when he was asked how he got over it.
"You assume I'm over it. Come on now!" Brady said this morning via NBC Sports Boston. "That's a lot of mental scar tissue from that year. That was a tough game."
Remember Brady dropped a pass thrown to him while Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles caught a touchdown? That was neat.

Brady continued, "In a lot of ways I think we learned from that year and we came back stronger the next year and we won the Super Bowl in 2018," Brady said. "So, I think everything is a matter of perspective."
It's true the Pats are reigning Super Bowl champs and Brady has cemented his place as one of the game's all-time greats, but it's nice to hear that Philly's glorious victory over the Pats in Super Bowl 52 is still in their mind somewhere.
"They deserved it that year, now a couple years later, we get a chance to play the organization again. Both teams have had a lot of changes, different circumstances. Huge game for us, big game for them, and the better team is gonna win," Brady said.
This will be the first time the two franchises face each other since Super Bowl 52 (which the Eagles won by the score of 41-33, did we mention that yet?). The current Pats team looks poised at 8-1 to make another run at a Super Bowl this season whereas the Eagles will have a very tough road ahead just to make the playoffs. Sunday's matchup in Philly will be crucial for the hopes of Philadelphia.
