All lanes have reopened on the Walt Whitman Bridge after a truck fire caused a traffic nightmare during the Monday evening rush.

The truck caught fire in the eastbound lanes of the bridge towards the New Jersey side around 5:20 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The fire shut down all eastbound lanes and all but one westbound lane. SkyForce10 was over the scene as traffic was backed up along the bridge.

Officials later announced all lanes reopened.

Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the fire.
