It’s a birthday that one Montgomery County family will never forget.
A day after NBC10 first told you about the amazing rush-hour baby delivered on the side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, NBC10 got the exclusive first look at little Bradley King-Megerman.
Father Josh was merging into traffic on the Turnpike when mother Rachel said the baby was coming -- they weren’t going to make it to the hospital in time.
Bradley -- who was three days late -- seemingly was making up for lost time.
So Josh pulled the Prius over onto the side of the highway and called 9-1-1. He would have to deliver his own son.
“For him to follow directions, he did a fabulous job,” said John Geib, Montgomery County Deputy Director of Emergency Communications.
Josh delivered his healthy 7-pound, 14-ounce baby boy in the front seat of the Prius on the side of the road at mile-marker 336.7 in Whitemarsh.

Bradley was taken to Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, where he was receiving fluids on Friday. His family tells NBC10’s Deanna Durante that he is expected to head home on schedule.
No word yet if the family plans on taking the Turnpike home.
