Loved ones are mourning three young children who were killed in a fire in Millsboro, Delaware, on Wednesday.
The fire started at a home on Scarp Street in the Pot Nets Development Bayside around 2:30 p.m. First responders arrived to find the rear part of the home fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters brought the flames under control. When they entered the home they found the bodies of three children, all under the age of five-years-old.
During the fire, one other child was safely removed by a parent, officials said. That child was taken to the Beebe Medical Center for a medical evaluation, treated and then released.
Officials are working to determine an exact cause of death for the three victims and the investigation is ongoing.
