A teenager from Newark, Delaware was arrested Monday in connection with several armed and attempted robberies.
Jared Gomez, 17, was arrested at his home and charged in the attempted robbery of a 7-Eleven on Red Mill Road, the robberies of two 7-Elevens, a Gulf and Riggins Gas Station.
The robberies began on October 25 when a masked Gomez flashed a gun and demanded money from the clerk at the 7-Eleven on Kirkwood Highway, according to police.
They say he struck again on October 29, November 2 and November 3.
In all of the crimes, the suspect wore a mask and threatened his victims with a gun, authorities said.
Police say that a tip lead them to Gomez.
He is being detained at the New Castle County Detention Center on $465,000 bail.
