Police are searching for a man who robbed a suburban bank Friday.
Investigators say the suspect entered the PNC Bank on South Chester Road in the Borough of Swarthmore, handed the teller a hand written note demanding money and said he had a gun.
The robber was given an unknown amount of cash and then fled the bank running down Rutgers Avenue, according to officials.
Authorities describe the suspect as an African-American male in his mid to late twenties, approximately 5-feet 7-inches tall with a thin build and a large amount of facial hair.
Police ask anyone with information regarding the crime or the suspect to contact the Swarthmore Borough Police Department.
