The Sixers released a statement Thursday evening regarding the TMZ report that contained video of a person the website identified as Jahlil Okafor in a fight outside of a Boston nightclub:
"We are aware of the report and we are currently working to gather additional information. Until that time, we will have no further comment."
A source confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Goodman that Okafor was involved in a street fight Wednesday night. The incident occurred after the Sixers blew an 11-point fourth-quarter lead in an 84-80 loss to the Celtics to fall to 0-16.
The third overall pick in this year's draft, Okafor leads the Sixers in scoring (18.4 points per game) and rebounding (8.0).
