Philadelphia police arrested six males in connection to a brutal sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman in West Philadelphia Thursday night.
The alleged attack started after the woman was dragged out of the Li Lai Chinese restaurant in the 5600 block of Walnut Street and then rape in an nearby apartment, according to police.
The woman went inside the take-out restaurant around 11p.m. when the group followed her inside and begin fondling her, according to police. They then dragged her to a first-floor apartment across the street where they took turns sexually assaulting her, the victim told police.
Neighbors called police after hearing the victims screams. In minutes officiers arrested the six suspects who range in age from 16 to 52.
Arrested and with rape and other related offenses are Michael Garrison, 52; Teddy Mack, 22; Timothy Manely, 22; Nyar Washington, 19; Nicholas Glenn, 18; and a 16-year-old boy whose name was not released.
The woman was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital were she was treated and later released.
