A judge accepted a former UNLV basketball player and Philly native's guilty pleas to reduced petty theft and trespass charges and allowed him to pay restitution for expensive Nike sneakers, $500 cash and almost $900 worth of video games from a friend's apartment last May.
Savon Goodman, 20, didn't appear in court Monday while his defense attorney, Bill Terry, outlined the plea deal to close Goodman's misdemeanor conspiracy and felony burglary and grand larceny case.
Terry says the agreement requires the 20-year-old Goodman to pay $1,370 in restitution, serve 200 hours of community service and stay out of trouble for a year.
Goodman quit the Runnin' Rebels in October after coach Dave Rice announced in August that the 6-foot-6 sophomore forward from Constitution High School in Center City Philadelphia would sit out the 2013-14 season.
Last season, Goodman averaged 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds while playing about 9 minutes a game for UNLV.
Terry says Goodman has since moved home to the Philadelphia area.
