One person is hurt in an early morning crash that closes a portion of Route 1 in Philadelphia.
Two cars --including a security company's vehicle-- collided in the southbound lanes of Route 1 near Ridge Avenue in the East Falls section of the city just after 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to officials.
One vehicle went up in flames upon impact.
As crews worked to clear the disabled vehicles, the southbound lanes were blocked for about 45 minutes causing significant delays.
Officials reopened the road around 5:50 a.m.
A male in his thirties suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to a local hospital.
