The Pennsylvania Department of Health issued a warning saying a person suspected of having the measles may have exposed others at several locations in the last week.
Health officials are investigating a potential case of measles in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
The unidentified person, who officials say may have measles, attended a men’s basketball game inside the Pucillo Gym on 1 South George Street at Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Jan. 31. The person is not a student at the school, according to officials.
The same person also visited Sheetz on 1790 Millersville Road in Lancaster, Pennsylvania Feb. 3 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Finally, the person was inside the College Avenue Associates medical building at 233 College Avenue in Lancaster, Feb. 4 from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“This was a suspected case,” said acting Pennsylvania Physician General Dr. Rachel Levine. “The blood test that confirms is equivocal. The samples are now with the CDC in Atlanta and we will get a confirmation as soon as they can give it to us.”
The Department of Health held a three hour free clinic Sunday for people to get vaccinated in Lancaster. Nearly 100 people received the vaccine.
