A woman stabbed a man to death and used money taken from him to get a tattoo with his name, birth and death dates on her arm, authorities said.
Charlotte Carman, of Trenton, faces murder charges in the May 31 death of 33-year-old Paris France Way. Prosecutors say the two had an ongoing dating relationship. Way was stabbed multiple times in the chest.
NJ.com reported that police said the 38-year-old Carman confessed to them. They said she told them she took $180 from Way's pocket and used $50 to pay for an "RIP PARIS" tattoo.
Attorney Kathleen Redpath-Perez told The Trentonian that Carman was fighting for her life after Way hit her with a grocery bag containing a 2-liter plastic soda bottle.
Judge Darlene Pereksta maintained her bail at $770,000 Friday morning.
